Durian themed buffet @ Cafe Vic

In conjunction with the durian season more hotels are offering durian-themed buffet (back in July 07) and one fine evening after P3 managed to sheepishly sneaked out from a particular chinese restaurant, we hopped into Cafe Vic with the pictures of promising durians pulling our attention and boy I just cannot describe how good it was especially the black pepper crabs and all the sinful desserts!

The sashimi was tender and fresh especially the salmon which was a favourite that night.

Self-tossed Cesar Salad

Medicore Hot & Spicy Hot...without the vinegar and pepper added there isn't much of a taste to the overily starcy soup

The desserts:

Freshly made waffles with belgium ice-cream

The durian shooter and more desserts...

The price after tax is roughly 45sgd per pax which is pretty reasonable taking into consideration the variety of food available but unless there is a similar durian theme promotion going on, I doubt I will revisit again due to the inconsistency of the cooked food at different timing of the night.
