Hong Kong 2007 - Part II

There is a cha chang ting sitting humbly right next to where our hotel is located and this became a convenient stop to fill the tummy before setting out for the day.

I see a lot of people having nissin noodles and ordered them to try as well but it didn't agree with my ill body that morning...but the po lo bun comes as a life saver!

Our breakfast

Next is a short visit to Wong Tai Sin that is always mentioned in HK drama series...

Then it's back to Causeway Bay to meet my HK schoolmate for lunch since he is back in HK for his summer vacation as well...(he visited Singapore too after my HK trip and is full of praises for our black pepper baby lobster!)

A simple but delicious lunch at a char chang ting along the street behind SOGO.

Braised Pork Noodle

Fresh Prawn Chilli Noodle

The Convention Centre and yes, it's a rainy day again...

Last stop for the afternoon at the same cha chang ting before the medicine I took started taking effect and it's back to the hotel for more rest for the umpteen times.

Hot milo after a day in the rain

My po lo bun again :P

Woke up after my forty winks and headed to the Arena of Stars at Tsim Sha Tsui...and more snacks along the way...

Cute little carts selling HK street food and snacks for the display of lights at 8pm.

I love the curry fishballs!

Amazing skyline isn't it?

Still couldn't decide what to have for dinner so we reversed the order and had desserts first at Xu Lui Shan for their speciality of mango desserts.

Stewed egg white with brid's nest and harsmar.

Pudding with pomelo and mango.

Got distracted by the street food and I always believe eating these savoury snacks on satay sticks right next to the road always enhances the flavour of the food.

The infamous smelly toufu. If you have read my previous entries on Beijing then honestly this pales in comparison...the stinkiness that is!

And finally near midnight, we settled for dinner at a random cafe which seems like a chain outlet cos I remember seeing a few branches elsewhere too.

Shrimp with egg rice.

Salt and pepper pork cutlet rice.

Better food at better places in the final part coming soon....
