Restaurant Gordon Ramsay

It's been a long hiatus of more than two years...

And I'm back...still 'a girl who likes to indulge in food...without the pretentious package and all...just food simple but good...'

Dynamics have changed since my last post...and I'm no longer the carefree student like when I first started working on this blog.

Nevertheless, let's keep our fingers crossed and hope t
hat Her Food Journal will be up and running again!

I have been pondering over what should be the comeback post...and it really isn't a difficult decision to make.

Towards the end of my undergrad days, SC suggested we visit Gordon Ramsay's flagship restaurant @ Hospital Road, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, which has since gained three Michelin stars.

Since London is but a mere 2 hours train ride away, here goes!

@ Restaurant Gordan Ramsay, greeting us with its stylish and sophisticated interiors.

I remember myself being very excited. I wanted to try everything on their lunch menu! Decision! Decision!

The first course of the day - Vegetable Consomme. This was served chilled, with vegetable bits fresh and crisp, very refreshing for the summer and of course, the palate.

Next up - Tuna Tartare, another dish served chilled, with a combusting combination of a generous amount of olive oil, raw tuna, quail egg and cavier to top it off.

Main course - Grilled sea bass with summer roasted vegetables.

Dessert - Pear Tart with chocolate caramel ice cream. I'm usually not a fan of dessert but this was really good especially with the juicy succulent baked pear coupled with its crunchy base and a good spoonful of ice cream popped right into the mouth.

More sweets for the day - Silver coated chocolate.

White chocolate coating with vanilla ice cream.

I was stuffed by the end of lunch. In a good way.

If only life could offer such indulgences more often...

Till then...
